Welcome to Symphony of Agony!
We are a Horde guild in World of Warcraft on the server, Lighteninghoof. We are an RP/PVP guild. We welcome ALL RPers! We are looking for a few exceptional players that enjoy RP and PVP alike. presently.
A little more about us: We are an RP guild firstmost, so guildchat is all In Character (IC) and we have an Out of Character (OOC) channel as well for normal chat. We do have a tabard, a guild bank with 5 bank tabs, and vent. Although we are an RP raiding guild, our overall focus is to make friends and just have fun. Afterall, that's what this game is about. We will also help with leveling you when time permits if you are below 80. Please see our rules, guidelines, and intentions below. If you are interested in joining, you may contact Primanoctes, Cozmyk, or Cristaire in-game.
RP: First and foremost, we are an RP guild. This does not mean you have to roleplay to be in the guild, but it is preffered. We will be holding weekly guild meetings with some RP tutorials as well for those of you new to RP or for even veterans to help out with ideas, even. As for guild RP, it takes place in a guild home called "The Hold". We have an engineer who (In RP) makes a device that attaches to your hearthstone, allowing you to communicate with other guild members from anywhere in the world and we have an RP channel for that as well. The "device" prevents members from being limited to one particular spot (such as the Hold in guild chat). This way, you can RP no matter where you are in the game, or what you're doing.
We like to encourage RPers to "Think outside the box" as well when it comes to RP. For example, how often do you see this: * hits with [said spell]. instantly dies because was level 80 and was only level 55.* In this instance, why couldn't the lvl 55 outwit the level 80? We'd like to see RP go outside of level. On that note, however, please do keep in mind that "God-moding" is looked down upon not only in the guild but on this server as well, so please refrain from it at all costs. Be creative in your RP, think outside the box, but keep it realistic at the same time.
PVE: We no longer do PVE raids as a guild here in SoA anymore. Due to the lack of interest and lack of cooperation in raiding, we've cut it out completely. If you're a hard-core raider, this will not be the guild for you. If enough interest and dedication is shown by enough players then we might bring it back at some point, but not now.
PVP: We also offer weekly PVP events also. We do weekly guild raids on Alliance towns and cities. ANY level is welcomed on these raids! It will be the higher level's job to help escort the lower levels with us (clearing mobs, etc). Certain higher levels can either volunteer for this or they will be assigned to certain lower levels. We usually hit up the lower leveled towns along the way to larger Alliance cities so that these lower levels can have their fun in the PVP as well. Everyone will get to kill an Alliance of or close to their level on these raids. Many guildies have arena teams and BG nights as well that we do together.
Guild Rules:
1) First and foremost, respect your guildmates, and respect your fellow Horde! No namecalling, no bickering, no rudeness! IC is one thing if it's RP but it will not be tolerated OOC.
2) No asking for gold or run-throughs on a constant basis. If your alt is in the guild, and you have several quests for a certain dungeon and cannot seem to get a group, one run through to get your quests done is fine. If one of us has the time, and we can do it for you simply for XP, that is fine too, but constantly asking and expecting the higher leveled members to "power-level" you is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
3) No charging other guild-members for enchants, potions, etc. We will be keeping a good amount of supplies in the guild bank for these things. That's what your guild is there for, to help you out! Tips are fine, but charging for mats when they are available will not be tolerated.
4) All gathering-professions will be expected to put at least one stack of their profession in the guild bank weekly. (Leatherworkers put 1 stack of the highest lvl leather you can skin in the bank, same with herbalists, and miners). This is how we keep the supplies for enchants, potions, gear, etc. Any extras we have that are not used will be auctioned at the auction house. This money will go into the guild bank to provide repairs for guild members. If we get enough gold into the bank from this, then we will help you with your mount training as well.
5) Inactivity from your character for 30 days or more will result in a gkick unless you let Prima know ahead of time that you will be gone due to military or whatever. If you decide at a later date to pick that toon back up again and actively play it, then you may then ask for another invite to the guild. Keep in mind, though, any ranks you had will be lost and you will start off at "Rookie" again and must work your way back up the ranks.
